Marian Shaughnessy, DNP, MSN, RN, is a nurse consultant and community leader in Cleveland, Ohio. Her nursing career includes leadership positions and consulting in periOperative care delivery at Lakeland Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Foundation and St. John’s Hospital.
Ms. Shaughnessy serves on the board of the University Hospitals of Cleveland – Cleveland Medical Center. She is co-chair of the Hospitals Quality and Professional Affairs Committee and is a member of the Medical Group and Clinical Council committees. She also serves on the Capital Campaign Committee for the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing from Case Western Reserve University.
Ms. Shaughnessy helped found the American Nurses Foundation’s Nurses on Boards Initiative and has served as a member of the national Nurses on Boards Coalition Placement Work Group since 2016. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Association of perioperative Registered Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau and the United States Equestrian and Dressage Federations.
Ms. Shaughnessy is a graduate of Indiana University School of Nursing and received a doctor of nursing practice and a master of science in nursing from Case Western Reserve University.
